Pela primeira vez, a Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA) ofereceu, em Manaus, o curso de lutheria voltado para instrumentos musicais de metais – uma iniciativa inédita tanto na capital amazonense quanto na própria instituição. Ofertada por meio do Programa de Atividades Consolidadas na Área Musical (Praticamus/UEA), projeto do Laboratório de Pesquisa, Práticas e Ensino Musical (Lapem/UEA), a formação conta com 10 participantes, sendo eles da comunidade acadêmica e músicos de bandas locais, e finaliza no dia 12 de julho, na Escola Superior de Artes e Turismo (Esat/UEA).
Ministrado por Marinaldo Lourenço, experiente luthier e docente do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Pernambuco (IFPE), a capacitação visa qualificar estudantes, músicos e interessados na construção, manutenção e restauração de instrumentos musicais, com destaque em práticas sustentáveis e na valorização do saber artesanal. Além disso, busca impulsionar a criação de uma rede local de luthiers e, dessa forma, fortalecer a autonomia da cadeia produtiva musical no Amazonas.
Para o coordenador do Lapem/UEA, Prof. Dr. Fabio Carmo, o curso integra uma política institucional de incentivo à pesquisa, inovação e difusão de saberes musicais na UEA. “A lutheria é um campo estratégico, tanto na preservação de conhecimentos tradicionais quanto na formação de novos profissionais que possam atuar com qualidade e autonomia na região”, disse.
Segundo o professor Marinaldo Lourenço, a iniciativa extrapola a dimensão técnica. “Nosso objetivo é despertar, nos participantes, uma escuta atenta e um olhar sensível sobre o processo de construção do som – da matéria-prima à sonoridade final do instrumento.”
O curso teve início no dia 7 de julho. Durante 5 dias, os integrantes trabalharam a aplicação da lutheria aos instrumentos de metais, como trombones e trompetes, sendo o foco da primeira edição. Já para as próximas edições, o curso pretende ampliar o conteúdo para outros grupos instrumentais, como cordas e palhetas. A programação inclui aulas teóricas e práticas que reuni temas, como seleção e tratamento de materiais, acústica, técnicas de confecção de peças, ajustes e cuidados com os instrumentos.
Conheça o Praticamus
O Praticamus é uma iniciativa da Pró-Reitoria de Extensão e Assuntos Comunitários (Proex/UEA), por meio da integração de projetos, cursos e eventos consolidados na Esat/UEA. O programa tem como objetivo promover atividades que articulam a prática musical, o estudo teórico e histórico da música, além da produção de materiais acadêmicos e didáticos, como artigos científicos, métodos instrumentais e partituras.
Atualmente, o programa engloba um conjunto de atividades que contemplam indissociabilidade entre ensino, pesquisa e extensão, envolvendo alunos da graduação, pós-graduação e membros da comunidade em geral. Está sob a coordenação do Laboratório de Pesquisa, Práticas e Ensino Musical (Lapem/UEA), em parceria com o Programa de Pós-Graduação Profissional em Música (PPPGMus/UEA).
As ações seguem um cronograma anual com o objetivo de democratizar o acesso ao conhecimento musical, desenvolver habilidades cognitivas e criativas, fortalecer o bem-estar e a saúde mental dos participantes. Para o biênio atual, o Praticamus seguirá estratégias de inclusão cultural, alinhadas às políticas públicas, além de contar com a atuação de bolsistas em diversas frentes de atuação.
