A Secretaria de Estado de Educação e Desporto Escolar, em parceria com a Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA), abre as inscrições de seleção para ingresso no curso de Mestrado Acadêmico em Geografia, oferecido pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia (PPGeo) da UEA. Interessados devem se inscrever até às 23h59 (horário local) do dia 13 de julho.
Por meio do convênio para oferta de vagas UEA/Seduc nº 22/2022, professores e/ou pedagogos da rede pública estadual poderão concorrer a vagas para tornarem-se pesquisadores e, posteriormente, Mestres em Geografia – Espaço, Natureza e Ensino na Geografia.

A oferta da graduação dá continuidade ao Projeto Prioritário Mestre Qualificado, do programa “Educa+Amazonas”, do Governo do Amazonas. Na primeira etapa do projeto, foram disponibilizadas 50 vagas para cursos de Mestrado Interdisciplinar em Ciências Humanas e Mestrado em Educação voltado a educadores de Manaus e Tefé (distante 523 quilômetros da capital).
“São programas que trabalham as áreas do conhecimento nas áreas de linguagem, nas áreas de ciências e na área da educação que é o nosso guarda-chuva da rede”, afirmou a gerente de Articulações e Desenvolvimento Profissional, da Secretaria de Educação, Darle Teixeira.
Cronograma
Estão sendo oferecidas 10 vagas, considerando 4 vagas para a linha de pesquisa Dinâmicas Espaciais e Regionais, 3 vagas para a linha Sistemas da Natureza na Amazônia e 3 vagas para a linha Ensino e Formação de Professores de Geografia.
O processo de seleção será realizado em quatro etapas: prova escrita de conhecimento específico, análise do pré-projeto de pesquisa, entrevista e análise curricular. As etapas de seleção serão realizadas em Manaus. O resultado final será publicado no dia 29 de agosto, como período de matrículas entre 1 a 4 de setembro.
A expectativa para 2025 é que 65 educadores ingressem em novas turmas de Mestrado por meio do projeto Mestre Qualificado, com previsão de conclusão em 2027. A Secretaria de Educação garante o afastamento dos servidores do Quadro do Magistério Público da Secretaria, com direito à percepção do vencimento e demais vantagens inerentes ao cargo. O objetivo é que os profissionais retornem à sala de aula com o olhar, também, de pesquisador, transformando a educação por meio da pesquisa.
O reitor da UEA, Prof. Dr. André Zogahib, reforça que a parceria traz o compromisso com a formação continuada dos profissionais e com o fortalecimento do ensino, da pesquisa e da valorização da ciência em nosso estado. “Investir na qualificação dos nossos professores e pedagogos é investir diretamente na melhoria da qualidade do ensino e no desenvolvimento das nossas regiões”, finalizou.
