Abrir novas frentes de colaboração em ensino, pesquisa, desenvolvimento e transferência de tecnologias é o objetivo central do termo de cooperação firmado entre a Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA) e a Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (Unesp). O acordo foi assinado nesta terça-feira (12/8), na Reitoria da Unesp, em São Paulo (SP), pelo reitor da UEA, Prof. Dr. André Zogahib, e pela reitora da Unesp, Prof.ª Dra. Maysa Furlan.
A parceria estabelece um programa abrangente de intercâmbio científico e tecnológico, que inclui desde atividades de ensino, pesquisa, extensão e internacionalização, até a utilização compartilhada de instalações e equipamentos. Também prevê ações específicas para fortalecer a cooperação interinstitucional em programas de pós-graduação, com a meta de consolidar redes de pesquisa e ampliar a produção acadêmica.
O reitor da UEA, Prof. Dr. André Zogahib, enfatizou o compromisso das instituições em fortalecer suas ações de forma conjunta e projetar resultados duradouros a partir da cooperação.
“Estamos comprometidos em fortalecer o nome das nossas instituições, não apenas individualmente, mas agora de forma coletiva. É uma ação que, certamente, será a semente de muitos frutos no futuro. Tenho convicção de que este é apenas o início de diversas parcerias oficiais e da consolidação de colaborações que já vínhamos construindo. Esta união nos permitirá avançar em direção a uma sociedade mais justa, moderna e equânime, com uma Amazônia protegida e um Brasil fortalecido”, afirmou.
Durante a cerimônia, a reitora da Unesp, Prof.ª Dra. Maysa Furlan, ressaltou a importância estratégica da parceria e destacou o potencial de integração entre as duas universidades.
“Esta parceria certamente será ampliada e trará contribuições relevantes para a ciência brasileira, para a formação de recursos humanos na pós-graduação e para a pesquisa e produção de conhecimento. Unir a expertise do estado de São Paulo ao conhecimento do estado do Amazonas abre um leque de possibilidades que valorizo muito. Tenho um carinho especial pela UEA e acredito que, juntos, poderemos contribuir de forma significativa para o avanço da ciência e para a soberania nacional”, salientou a reitora da Unesp, Prof.ª Dra. Maysa Furlan.
A comitiva da UEA contou, também, com a presença do pró-reitor de Pesquisa e Pós-graduação, Prof. Dr. Roberto Mubarac; coordenadora de Pesquisas e Projetos Institucionais, Prof.ª Dra.
